Establish a Plan
Start making your plans to eat as local as possible! If you're new to the game, start with something simple like switching out your morning coffee or tea for a local option.
Look out for tags at your local grocery stores indicating items are local! Even large grocery stores carry local produce. We have compiled a list of local food retailers offering local products that can be viewed by clicking here. Get even fresher by shopping at your local farmers market or small grocer, or signing up for a local food box (or CSA). Eat at local restaurants (bonus points if they also source and support local farmers, fishers, ranchers, and food producers!), and always keep a lookout for an opportunity to make your mark on the local food scene.
